Getting Started Running an Epic

If you would like to host an epic at your event, you have a few options.

Read the Organizer’s Guide

Before hosting an Adventurers League epic, you should read the D&D Adventurers League Organizer’s Guide. This can be found at 📄Documents.

Option 1: Host an Epic From Dungeon Masters Guild

You can purchase many epics from Dungeon Masters Guild. Any epics available there can be played at your event without requiring approval.

Many of these epics can even be played by a single table.

Option 2: Host an Epic From the Rotating Short-List

Every four months or so, the AL admins provide a short-list of three (3) older epics (pre Season 10) that you may request from them. These epics don’t require a charity.

The short-list of available epics changes every few months.

It is best to submit your request 90 days before your event.

Option 3: Request Any Other Epic For Your Charity Event

If your event is a for-charity event, you may request any of the other epics not on the short-list.
