Epic Boon Feats and Legacy Epic Boons

The 2024 rules now have “Epic Boon” feats that characters can use once they reach level 19. How do these interact with legacy Epic Boons that were awarded in AL adventures?

The Rules

ALPG 2026.2 (page 2):

BLESSING, BOON, & CHARMS The number of Boon (from play or advancement) […] carried into each session must be limited, using the table below.

And the Boon column says “1” for T4.

The key part is the “from play or advancement”.

• “play” - These are the legacy boons you received by completing AL adventures.
• “advancement” - These are the level 19 “Epic Boon” feats.

So, you can choose between an Epic Boon feat taken at level 19 OR one of your rewarded boons, but not both.

Boons Reprinted as Feats

ALPG 2026.4 (page 7):

Boons Updated to Feats. This is kept as an Epic Boon Feat, following its prerequisites and the “Carried Blessing, Boon, and Charms” limit.

So if an adventure rewards a Boon, but that boon has been reprinted as an Epic Boon Feat, then the Boon can be used during the adventure, but it cannot be rewarded after the adventure anymore. Instead, it can be used as a level 19 Epic Boon Feat choice.
