AL-Legal Adventures
Which adventures can you play/run that are AL-legal?
There is no single complete list of all AL-legal adventures. It simply does not exist.
AL Adventures on Dungeon Masters Guild
Adventurers League adventures on Dungeon Masters Guild are AL-legal. Most of these are “one-shots” that can be completed in 2 to 4 hours. These are a mix of “official” AL adventures and community-created adventures.
Important: Not everything on Dungeon Masters Guild is AL-legal.
Most of these adventures start with prefixes like DDAL, FR-DC, etc. Please see 🅰️Adventure Codes for some more information about adventures and adventure codes.
Although “seasons” aren’t really a thing anymore, please refer to 📅Seasons to see which AL adventures are associated with past AL seasons.
How do I know which adventures are AL-legal?
There are three clues to look for when hunting for AL-legal adventures:
- The adventure will be under the “D&D Adventurers League” category.
- The adventure will have an adventure code prefixed with one of the common AL prefixes (see 🅰️Adventure Codes)
- AL-legal adventures should have the “AL Community” logo on the cover.

Most (But Not All) Official D&D Adventure Hardcovers
Most (but not all) of Wizards of the Coasts hardcover D&D adventures can be played using Adventurers League. The Adaptation Guide (found in 📄Documents) can be used to adapt official D&D adventures to Adventurers League play.
If a hardcover adventure is not in the Adaptation Guide, then assume it cannot be played in AL.
Please refer to 📅Seasons to see which D&D adventure hardcovers are associated with past AL seasonal one-shots (and thus are also AL-legal).
A list of AL-legal hardcovers has been compiled at 📘AL-Legal Hardcover Adventures
Other Adventures
There are a few other adventures that are AL-legal. But if you follow the above rules, you should be safe.
Homebrew Campaign/World
Nope.
